This mostly happens when you have a graphics card that needs the restricted driver pacakge to be enabled.It's probably because of the fact that the restricted drivers are not enabled.Enable them by going to Administration -> Restricted Drivers ManagerAfter enabling it, restart the system and now you can view the video with the sound that was already there.
